END OF DAYS/zara skort

Here it is...the Zara skort.  It seems like everyone (or every blogger) in the world owns this skort.  And it seems like I cannot go one day without this little number showing up on my Instagram feed.  Does it bother me?  Obviously not, because I too purchased this little cutie...I guess its powers are too strong...even for me.  I think that it is pretty obvious where we go from here...this skort is taking over the world and it is entirely possible that human extinction is in the foreseeable future.  To my knowledge, this skort comes in white, blue and black; you do the math...we can't compete.

SEQUIN THERAPY/d&g denim mini skirt

Today was a horrifying day.  In the midst of my Sunday cleaning, I found a dead black widow outside my back door.  I was totally panicked!  Even though it was dead, I was horrified by the fact that it was here at my house.

I tried to act normal for the rest of the day, but it was hard.  I am so afraid of spiders and I felt emotionally scarred from my encounter.  I decided the only way to cheer myself up was to wear some sequins.  Now what girl doesn't get a little giddy when wearing sequins???  There's just nothing like it; feeling a bit of glitz and glamour with just a little help from some synthetic, reflective discs.  I put on a vintage sequin top I bought years ago and I felt better immediately.

The moral of the story?  Never underestimate the power of sequins in fashion...even if you do just wear them for a day of running errands.

NIGHT STALKERS/chloe sevigny for opening ceremony pearl heels

In the midst of shopping for fall shoes, I happened to stumble upon these beauties.  I was quick to transact (always a good sign) and once they arrived, I realized just how gorgeous these shoes truly are.  Sure, I should be thinking of boots and closed-toe heels, but I couldn't resist.  I mean, I am not opposed to the idea of wearing an open-toed shoe with tights...I know that some people believe this to be a major fashion no-no, but I have to say that I strongly disagree.  Sandals can surely see the light of day and still be fabulous during the cooler months with the addition of a short sock or a textured tight.

These shoes will definitely be escorting me into cooler months ahead.

BUNNY/maison michel knitted rabbit ears

Buying these rabbit ears was as necessary as buying the Prada car shoes.  Why?  Because both are like buying a piece of fashion history.

GLITZ & GLAMOUR/nyc part 1

I always feel like I am going home when I go to NYC...and my recent trip back was no exception.

We went to NYC to see the Schiaparelli and Prada exhibit at The Met.  It was amazing (of course)...but I also saw many other inspriring things along the way.
