MADE OF METAL/hardware as ear wear

I discovered these cute screw earrings at Nordstrom.  Layering them up seemed to be the best idea...and to my surprise, I remembered that I had pierced my ear for the third time when I was 12.  Yes...it's been a long time since my third hole has actually been used.  But it works perfectly now...as I layer a zipper, a screw and a diamond (that would make a cool album name if you were ever to release an album).  Try the links below...they work and they are cool.

I'VE NEVER FELT LIKE THIS BEFORE/fendi polifonia ankle boot

Expect to see these shoes a lot...I'm absolutely smitten and I'm not sure that I have ever felt this way about a shoe before.  Aren't they perfect?  I don't think any of the stores in Denver carry these shoes, but I am so lucky to have a wonderful shoe guy at Nordstrom that made the special order for me.  I look forward to a great future with these precious beauties.

Note the clutch (I don't think it is really a clutch but that's what it is to me).  I bought it in Vienna at the MUMOK.  It's made of waterproof/tear resistant paper.  It was displayed at the museum with a permanent marker because you can actually write on it.  I fell in love with the idea right away!  But now, I just don't know what to write...whatever I write will stay on there forever, so it's gotta be good!  I am tempted to just give my 4 year old niece a Sharpie and see what she comes up with...but of course, that's a bit of a risk too.  Please let me know if you have any other brilliant ideas.

ROSES ARE YELLOW/mural floral sweatshirt

I bought this hair protector at a vintage shop because I fell in love with the mink fur and rhinestone detailing.  Of course everyone wondered what I was going to do with it.  My hair is normally a mess and so there is no point in protecting any part of it.  Well...I decided to wear this little cutie as a headscarf.

Wearing with my new Mural sweatshirt from Nordstrom...a story for another time.

BOOTED INTO SPRING/tildon flawless booties

These Tildon booties are new to the shoe collection.  Once I saw them in the Nordstrom catalog, I knew that they were an absolute must!  Booties are super necessary for spring 2013.  And since booties are a year-round necessity, it is not possible to have too many...at least that's what I've decided.

As with anything...the more, the merrier.

MOON STALKER/isabel toledo for payless lunar moon boot

A more casual look for a trip to the mall on Super Bowl Sunday. We wanted to go to the mall because we thought it would quiet since the game was on. Not the case...it was a fiasco! And so, I have decided that we can only go to the mall on Saturday nights. Don't you people watch football?!

Anyways...let's discuss the ensemble. I know you have seen these pants before (they are some of my favorites), but everything else is making its first appearance here on Dollhouse Vacancy. Can we give a round of applause for the moon boots? Yes!! Little moon booties for your viewing pleasure...bet you didn't see that coming! I love these shoes. They are again, from Payless (I'm blushing a bit while saying that). This time they are Isabel Toledo. I've always wanted a moon boot...not really, so scratch that. I should say that I've never wanted a moon boot until I saw that they came in the form of a bootie and well...until I saw these. They are adorable and yet, a bit ridiculous. I thought they would add the perfect bit of funkiness to this casual ensemble.

The vest is another favorite. This vest adds instant chic to just about anything. Rather than "just add water," think "just add vest" for instant sophisticated cool. And it does...every single time.
