WISHFUL MAKEUPING/ beauty products

I have purchased all new beauty products for the season and I can tell you that buying all new makeup has made getting ready fun again.  I used to love makeup, but it seems that I have lost interest over the years, which resulted in me buying cheap, drugstore makeup.  Drugstore makeup is fine for some things, but I think that a girl should splurge on certain beauty items.  Here's what I bought for A/W 2013 and how I feel about my purchases.

Smashbox Photo Finish Targeted Pore & Line Primer:  I did some research and decided to give primer a try again.  Now that I am getting older, I worry about little lines and wrinkles on my face.  The primer supposedly fills in lines and wrinkles and I can honestly say that it has made a positive difference for me.

Smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Foundation: I read that buying an expensive primer is useless if you are still using cheap foundation.  So I opted for a hydrating foundation from Smashbox to help me battle the dry Colorado climate.  I'm still getting used to applying it.  You have to act quick as this foundation goes on like glue and continues to get stickier as you rub it in.  I even find that my hand gets sore as I am rubbing this stuff in.  I do like the coverage though and it does stay on all day, which is a welcome surprise.  I found that applying a moisturizer prior to putting on the primer and foundation helps with the application process.  I also have found that applying a little moisturizer over the foundation works wonders if trying to attain a more natural look.

NARS Flaming Dust Lipstick: I've had this lipstick for years.  I think that they have discontinued this color so I use it sparingly.

NARS Exhibit A Blush: It doesn't take much of this stuff before you start to look a bit cheap, so please be careful.  Tone down color with powder if necessary.

Rimmel London Volume Flash the MAX Bold Curves Mascara: I have a serious crush on this mascara.  This stuff is amazing!  It doesn't clump and gives lots of volume...plus, the price is right!

Eyeliner: I bought E.L.F. liquid eyeliner.  I also use NARS Night Porter to blend it in.

Organic Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream: I always put eye cream under my eyes over my makeup.  It is absolutely necessary to combat those little under eye wrinkles.  I opted for this one because I know that caffeine can work wonders for both wrinkles and cellulite.  So far...I love it.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding the products above.  I am still learning too, but I am happy to help if I can.
