2019/clear pvc raincoat

I was super excited when Jerrmaner suggested doing a Blade Runner inspired post using his new light-up umbrellas.  I was mainly excited because I have been itching to pull out my PVC raincoat again.  I always think of Blade Runner when I wear this coat and actually, the movie is what inspired me to buy this transparent treasure.

According to WWD, PVC raincoats will be a major trend for Spring 2013...so bring on the spring rain and wet snow because this is just the beginning of my PVC love affair.

1970s AFFAIR/vintage patchwork rabbit fur bomber jacket

I've always wanted a rabbit fur bomber and it took me about 10 years to find the perfect one.  Yep, I stuck with my bomber search and I have finally conquered.  I found this perfect 1970s jacket on a website called Tangerine Boutique.  I have to say that I normally like to visit vintage shops when doing my vintage clothing shopping, but for this site, I am willing to make an exception.  The site has the most beautiful pieces and I think that the prices are super reasonable.  Check it out...you won't regret it!

'TIS THE SEASON/holiday sweatshirt

There's no better way to get into the holiday spirit, than to wear a festive holiday sweatshirt.  I've been itching to wear this sweatshirt for months now!

My grandma made this sweatshirt years ago and lucky for me, I inherited it from my sister.  She gave it to me with the idea that I might wear it as pajamas.  But as soon as I saw the sparkle of the glitter fabric paint, I knew that this sweatshirt needed to see the light of day.  I believe that an "ugly" holiday sweater's potential fully relies on the styling...and in this particular scenario, I think that an over sized holiday sweater makes for a lovely ensemble when styled as a mini dress.

BAMBI/margiela for h&m booties

With the apparent doomsday approaching, this photo seems appropriate.  Actually, doomsday had nothing to do with this photo (from my perspective)...I actually took my inspiration from a Helmut Newton photo.  Jerrmaner and I went to a Helmut Newton exhibit in Paris earlier this year and as I recap on the year's highlights, I find myself revisiting that event.

And...yes, I purchased one more piece from the Margiela for H&M collection.  I can't help it!  This collection stands lonely in our Cherry Creek mall and I can't help but take such pieces under my wing.

STILL/7 for all man kind jean shorts

It took me far too long to make my way to the new Clyfford Still Museum in Denver, but I finally went this weekend. It was such a treat! The building that was designed by Brad Cloepfil and Allied Works Architecture is absolutely amazing and provides the most perfect surrounding for Still's work. Plus, the natural lighting within the gallery is an art in itself. I couldn't help but fantasize about living in this amazing building (yes, paintings included) and enjoying my morning cup of coffee on the enclosed terrace. What can I say? I'm a total dreamer.

SWEET/elie tahari reversible jacket

Just a quick shoot before our dinner reservations at Bittersweet. I can't even tell you how impressed I was with this restaurant! It was so delightful! Recent trips to ChoLon and Bittersweet have me a bit smitten with Denver's culinary scene. If you are a foodie, try to book a trip to Denver for a long weekend just to visit some of our restaurants. Can it be true?! Denver, Colorado has a bit of a culinary scene now?! Don't worry, we have more than two great restaurants...we actually have quit a few good ones anymore. I would say that ChoLon, Table 6, Colt & Gray, Bittersweet, Olivea, Z Cuisine and Venue (to name a few) are well worth a visit....that is...if you are in town.
