SWEET/elie tahari reversible jacket

Just a quick shoot before our dinner reservations at Bittersweet. I can't even tell you how impressed I was with this restaurant! It was so delightful! Recent trips to ChoLon and Bittersweet have me a bit smitten with Denver's culinary scene. If you are a foodie, try to book a trip to Denver for a long weekend just to visit some of our restaurants. Can it be true?! Denver, Colorado has a bit of a culinary scene now?! Don't worry, we have more than two great restaurants...we actually have quit a few good ones anymore. I would say that ChoLon, Table 6, Colt & Gray, Bittersweet, Olivea, Z Cuisine and Venue (to name a few) are well worth a visit....that is...if you are in town.

THE DARKSIDE/dolce vita hamilton buckled bootie

These photos were taken awhile ago, but I stumbled upon them and decided that they were well worth sharing. The tree photos remind me of one of my all-time favorite TV shows, Tales from the Darkside. Was anyone else a fan? Twilight Zone, Tales from the Darkside, Alfred Hitchcock Hour, Tales from the Crypt...oh man, they don't make quality TV shows like those anymore!

I love the Tales from the Darkside episode where the woman signs up for a foolproof diet plan. She receives a pair of glasses in the mail and when she puts them on all of her food comes to life. She ends up dying of starvation because she becomes such good friends with her food that she can't bear to eat them. Other favorites are the "The Tear Collector" and the episode with the vacuum that sucks the life out of people.

Sorry, not really a fashion related topic. But if you do get a chance to watch some of the old episodes from the Alfred Hitchcock Hour, please note the ever so glamorous, beautiful and stylish leading ladies.

OTHER PEOPLE'S WINDOWS/tibi honeycomb jacquard mini skirt

We decided to mix it up a bit for this shoot. We took some random shots in Jerrmaner's bathroom and thought they turned out pretty cool. Please note that I was sitting on the lid of the toilet so you don't need to feel uncomfortable about that shot.

Hope you enjoy the pictures.

CRIMSON PAST/wwii nurse cape

Super excited to have found this cape. I remember wanting one of these after seeing the movie Atonement. Not my most favorite movie ever, but it definitely had some great style moments. Yes, the green dress and yes, a cameo from a cape similar to this one looking lovely in the snow. If you can't remember these scenes, google them immediately.

As you can imagine, it was like a dream come true when I found this cape at a new vintage shop in town called Gutterpup.

The shoes were another small sensation. I didn't seem to notice them on the shelves at Nordstrom, so I have to say 'thanks' to my amazing shoe guy (and bud), Mr. Walkingstick, who pointed these shoes out to me. Once I tried them on, I was sold. They are absolutely exquisite....the heel, the color, the absolute never-ending beauty of Yves Saint Laurent.

THE REAL DEAL/christian siriano for payless

These are some of my Christian Siriano for Payless shoes. It's hard to believe that these shoes were under $100, huh? Every time I wear these shoes, people swear they are McQueen.

Being taken seriously seems to be the major obstacle for Siriano. Sure he got his big start on Project Runway, but look at all he has done since! I've seen his rack at Saks and it is obvious that this dude is good! So let's be real, people...Siriano has proven himself to be a major player in the world of fashion. Of course he still has growing to do, but that's something that will come with time. I think that based on what Mr. Siriano has done so far; it is safe to assume that he has the staying power necessary to survive in the industry.

I just ordered the Spring Siriano shoes. Can't wait!! Trust me, I too was leery about buying shoes from Payless. But when they show up on my doorstep looking like a serious runway beauty, the choice is obvious...they must be added to my collection.
