PARTY GIRL/anna sui for anthropologie butterfly print party dress

So...I'm a total sucker for petticoats.  And lately, I've been craving more of them.  I've bought two in the past two weeks because I felt like I needed some longer ones.  I already have 4 or 5 mini versions (which I thoroughly enjoy) in my closet.  I welcome any and all things that can make my skirts fuller; skirt hoops included.  I'm going for that Gone with the Wind volume and yes, I know...I have a long way to go.

No new post from Jerrmaner this week...he's pouting.

RIGHT UNDER YOUR NOSE/vintage glasses necklace

Wearing a necklace that my sister made out of vintage glasses.  She makes a lot of wonderful things...from vintage earring bracelets to glow-in-the-dark terrariums.  My mom also makes jewelry out of vintage goodies and it is so fun being around when they create something new.  I have an entire jewelry collection made up of their amazing creations.  You will be seeing many more pieces soon.

Sometimes the best things are right under your nose.

I'VE NEVER FELT LIKE THIS BEFORE/fendi polifonia ankle boot

Expect to see these shoes a lot...I'm absolutely smitten and I'm not sure that I have ever felt this way about a shoe before.  Aren't they perfect?  I don't think any of the stores in Denver carry these shoes, but I am so lucky to have a wonderful shoe guy at Nordstrom that made the special order for me.  I look forward to a great future with these precious beauties.

Note the clutch (I don't think it is really a clutch but that's what it is to me).  I bought it in Vienna at the MUMOK.  It's made of waterproof/tear resistant paper.  It was displayed at the museum with a permanent marker because you can actually write on it.  I fell in love with the idea right away!  But now, I just don't know what to write...whatever I write will stay on there forever, so it's gotta be good!  I am tempted to just give my 4 year old niece a Sharpie and see what she comes up with...but of course, that's a bit of a risk too.  Please let me know if you have any other brilliant ideas.

SWEETER THAN CANDY/furla candy bag

Those of you that follow me on Instagram know that I have been debating on color, but after much thought; I chose the blue...I may buy another color down the road.  In fact, I just saw a tie-dye version for Fall the other day!  For those of you that do not follow me on Instagram, I am referring to the absolutely perfect Furla Candy Bag (insert floating hearts here).

I truly love my new purse and I'm so happy that I received money for my birthday to buy one.  This rubber goodie is definitely a gift that just keeps on giving!

NEXT LEVEL/delorean sunglasses by replay vintage

We are back and jet-lagged.  Oversized sunglasses were absolutely necessary for any and all photos taken today.

Jerrmaner gave me these sunglasses before we left on our trip.  He mainly gave these to me because he was sick of seeing me wear my mom's cataract sunglasses.  Remember these?  I thought they looked pretty cool, but these are definitely next level.  Thank Jerrmaner!

SPRING DEPRIVED/christian siriano for payless margo oxford

Just when I thought it was spring, we end up having another snowstorm.  I seriously can't take much more!  These pics were taken on one of our warm weekends.  I was so excited to whip out my shorts and my new metallic oxfords.

These shoes are from Payless.  Yes, I know...don't judge.  I check Payless every season for the designer collections.  Mainly because I have scored some majorly cool shoes by doing so.  This season I fell in love with these Siriano metallic oxfords.  Dress them down with jeans and shorts or dress them up with a fancy dress.  Check the Christian Siriano S/S 2013 show...these shoes are there looking lovely.  And...they are also on the Payless site for only $45!
This will be the last you hear from me for a couple of weeks.  Jerrmaner and I leave for Eastern Europe on Sunday.  Will return with lots of photos!

BEAT IT/tildon flawless booties

I haven't had much to say lately.  I am longing for spring and so the ugly scenery of winter is less than inspriring to me.  I need some color, some warmth, some flowers...something!  Hoping that my upcoming vacation will inspire me.  Until then...wearing some of my fave pieces as I keep trying to beat the winter blues.

AFTER THE STORM/vintage fur jacket

Sorry for the lack of posts lately.  We had a major snowstorm in Denver last weekend and it just so happened to coincide with our shooting day for the blog.  So, we are a week behind.

Nevertheless, we are back.  But I am going to be honest with you...I am feeling less than inspired these days.  It must be Spring fever.  I just want to be in all florals and pastels, but it is too dirty here in Denver right now (as everything melts) for any such thing.

SECRET HUNGER/spring 2013 runway shoes

Ok, I think I'm finally done.  I have finally chosen my Spring 2013 shoes.  Now the stress begins.  Sure I have taken all the necessary steps; I have called my shoe guy, tracked down their availability and even put my name on a waiting list, but I know that it is still possible to fail, even with such preparation.  Shoe buying is so competitive!  Even sharing my shoe choices with you seems like a risk, but I know that in order for us all to really become friends, we need to build some trust and share some secrets.  So...without further ado, here are my shoe picks for S/S 2013.

TITLE UNKNOWN/alexander wang agnete heels

When will I ever give up the mini?  This is something that probably many are wondering and sometimes I even wonder myself.  But I can safely say that it will be no time in the near future.

Wearing a mini skirt that I bought so many years ago...yep, I was digging in the archives for this post.  Even the sweater is pretty old, but I have to say that it is still one of my favorites that I own.  It has a side leather zip that still makes my heart melt to this day.

Notice the new muff.  How on earth could I pass on this cutie?!  It has a little face on it!  This muff has taken my muff expectations to a whole new level!  I mean...shouldn't all muffs have little faces?!  I found this cutie at the antique mall.  It is actually for a child, but I have fairly small hands so there was really no excuse not to buy it.

ODDITIES & FAIRYTALES/my house by day

More pictures of my house.  I have been way into nesting these days.  And so, I've been buying lots of new goodies for the home.

Most recently, I became obsessed with some acrylic spoons from France (see top picture).  Anyone who knows me knows that I have no business buying spoons, as I am not at one with the kitchen; however, these spoons were too divine to pass up and I knew that they would make for a wonderful visual display.
